A dedication ceremony for the Clarinda Downtown Revitalization Project will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, near the intersection of 16th and Washington streets. The revitalization project included the Clarinda Façade Project.

Serving as the backdrop of the dedication ceremony will be the new green-scrape area created at the intersection in conjunction with the façade project.

The Clarinda Foundation awarded the city a matching grant to develop two garden areas on the downtown square. The other garden area is located on North 15th Street next to the current Bank Iowa main office.

The ceremony is expected to last approximately 30 minutes and will be followed by a historical walking tour of the 12 businesses that participated in the façade project.
