New Song, a special musical ministry of Geneva College, will be performing at The Garrison House in Clarinda at 1 p.m., July. The Clarinda Reformed Presbyterian Church is sponsoring this live concert.
This one performance is one of about 30 in New Song’s tour throughout the midwestern US this summer. From June to July, this 10-student ensemble will sing in 12 states, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana.
In addition to the summer tour, New Song members sing a prelude at Geneva’s weekly Chapel service during the academic year. Students are chosen for the year-long membership based on gifts in dramatic presentation, musical abilities, and commitment and passion to serve Jesus Christ.
This year’s 10 New Song members are:
Lily Burgreen (Sophomore; Music)
James Lyu (2019 Graduate; Chemistry)
Kyle O’Keefe (Senior; Chemistry)
Grace Skarzynski (Senior; Business)
Joel Yoder (Junior; Engineering)
Elyn Snyder (Junior; History & English)
Jordan Kiesewetter (Junior; Music Education)
Matthew Munford (Senior; Mathematics Education)

For 42 years, New Song has toured throughout the continental U.S., Canada and mainland China. Through their ministry, fellow believers have been encouraged and strengthened as they have proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ to thousands across the globe.
“It is really good to sing God’s praises in community, share the gospel as His instruments and encourage believers to worship our great God,” shares third-time member of New Song, Annie Dawson. “I love getting to participate in what the Lord is doing in people’s lives and am honored to be a part of the heritage of New Song.”
