Special holiday-related activities are scheduled Dec. 1 at the Nodaway Valley Historical Museum, 1600 S. 16th St. in Clarinda.
During an open house that begins at 1 p.m., visitors can view exhibits in the main building and the Lee Annex. At 4 p.m. the Besthesda Recorder Consort will present musical selections in the quilt room. After the performance, refreshments will be served.
Then at 5 p.m. the annual community Christmas tree lighting will take place outside adjacent to the parking lot.
