HJ - Farm Bureau Citizen Award 2015

Page County Farm Bureau Secretary Alicia Johnson, left, presents the 2105 Outstanding Citizen Award to Debbie Swanson.

Page County Youth Coordinator Debbie Swanson has resigned from the position effective Aug. 16.

“I have so much enjoyed working with all of you and the friendships we have made,” she stated in an email last week for the county’s 4-H clubs. “I have loved my job for the last 28 years and so much enjoyed seeing the 4-Hers come into the program and then watch as they grow into such fine young adults.”

Swanson declined to state the reasons for her resignation but said she will continue to be involved with the fair in the future.

“I am staying with the fair board, so you will see me in a different capacity,” she said.

The position plans, manages 4-H activities including adult and youth volunteers.
