Norma Pfeiffer Clarinda, Iowa Oct. 30, 1951-Sept. 22, 2019 Norma Pfeiffer, age 67, of Clarinda, Iowa entered into peace Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Westridge Care & Rehab, Clarinda, Iowa. Funeral Celebration of Life Services were held 6:00 PM Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Ritchie Funeral Home, Clarinda, Iowa with Reverend Dan Wiebesiek officiating. Visitation was held Tuesday at Ritchie Funeral Home from 4 to 6 PM with the family greeting friends. Interment was held at the Hillside Cemetery in Sheffield, Iowa 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 25, 2019. Memorials may be directed to Norma Pfeiffer memorial. Norma Jean Pfeiffer was born October 30, 1951 in Clarinda, Iowa the youngest child of Dorman Young and Trevia (Hardee) Young. Norma grew up in the New Market, Iowa area; attended Siam Country School and Turner Country School and graduated from New Market High School with the class of 1970. Norma was united in marriage July 5, 1993 to John Pfeiffer in Branson, Missouri. In 1978, Norma began working at Lisle Manufacturing Company and retired after 40 years in 2019. She worked in several departments with the most recent being in the packaging and shipping department. Norma was a people person and loved to laugh. Her greatest enjoyment was her family time with her grand children and great grandchildren. She loved her family vacations to Branson and a special trip to San Diego to see her grandson's graduation. Norma also enjoyed quilting with her niece and sewing, doing crafts and of course spoiling the dogs. Preceding Norma in death are her parents, Dorman and Trevia Young; siblings, Addie Jennings, Carol Young, Lavern Young, Alan Young and Virginia Boatner. Left to cherish Norma's memory are her husband, John Pfeiffer of Clarinda, Iowa; daughter, Melissa (Mark) Stevens of Alexander, Iowa; grandchildren, Emily (Martin), Amy (Cody), Ashley (Wes) and Joshua (Lexi); great grandchildren, Serenity, Keyra, Ari and Azn; brother, James Young of Des Moines, Iowa; sister Marie Rasner of Hanover Park, Illinois; beloved dog, Willie Nelson; nieces; nephews and many friends.
