James Reents Council Bluffs, Iowa Mar. 4, 1966-Nov. 27, 2019 James Reents, of Council Bluffs, Iowa formerly of Clarinda, Iowa entered into peace Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Council Bluffs, Iowa. A visitation and prayer service was held 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service following Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Council Bluffs, Iowa. A Funeral Service was held 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Clarinda, Iowa with a visitation prior to the service at 10:00 a.m.. Interment was held at the Summit Cemetery rural Clarinda, Iowa. Memorials may be given to James Reents Memorial. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ritchie Funeral Home of Clarinda, Iowa, where we 'Celebrate Life'. James Ted Reents was born March 4, 1966 in Iowa City, Iowa. He is the son of Marvin Reents and Roberta (Hanson) Reents. Jim graduated from South Page High School in 1985. He was united in marriage April 12, 2017 to Beth McCord at St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Clarinda, Iowa. Jim worked at Tyson Foods in Council Bluffs as an engine room technician in refrigeration. He was confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Clarinda, Iowa and most recently was a faithful member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Council Bluffs. Jim enjoyed fixing things, working in the yard and was always busy with his tools and a project to get done. The most important thing to Jim was his family; he loved being a husband and father and spending time with his son Andrew. Preceding Jim in death were his grandparents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Beth Reents of Council Bluffs, Iowa; son, Andrew Reents; parents, Marvin and Roberta Reents of Clarinda, Iowa; sister, Jennifer Dickkut and husband Kurt of Cameron, Missouri; nieces, Annika and Payton Dickkut; father-in-law, Marlon McCord of Urbandale, Iowa; mother-in-law, Judy VanCleve of Creston, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Miranda McCord of Winterset, Iowa and Jodi McCord of Greenwood, Missouri; nephews, Blake Lepard and Ryland McCord; special aunt, Jan Weakly of Villisca, Iowa; aunts; uncles; and many friends.
