Southwest Iowa Families, Clarinda

Gilbert Thomas and John McBride of Bank Iowa, Clarinda and Shenandoah, have generously given $4,000 to the 2019 Flood Affected Families Back to School Expense Project.

There were approximately 300 students from Fremont and Mills counties affected by the 2019 floods and the project coordinators are hoping to receive donations for each child to receive at least $100 each for clothing, shoes and required sports gear.

The affected families are asked to complete an application for the funds and send to Southwest Iowa Families, Inc., 215 E. Washington St., Clarinda.

The application may be found on their website

Donations may be sent to Southwest Iowa Families and please note for 2019 Flood School Expenses. If you’d like more information call SWIF at 712-542-3501. Thank you Bank Iowa for supporting Southwest Iowa.
