HJ - H10 Academic Awards 2020

Although the COVID-19 pandemic forced the Iowa High School Athletic Association and Iowa Girls High School Athletic Association to cancel the spring sports season, the Hawkeye 10 Conference as still announced its All Academic Award winners.

The Hawkeye 10 Conference has recognized more than 200 senior students who were scheduled to compete in one of eight spring sports in 2020. The seniors receiving Hawkeye 10 All Academic Awards had a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

Clarinda had nine seniors honored by the Hawkeye 10 Conference in five sports.

The Cardinals had three seniors recognized in girls’ track. Those award recipients were Laney Boltinghouse, Morgan Lihs and Cloe Holmstrom.

In boys’ track, Connor Brown and Ethan Herzberg were honored for Clarinda. Brown and teammate Kory Rogers also received awards from the conference for boys’ tennis.

Hallee Fine was issued an award for girls’ golf. Riley Holmstrom was also recognized for girls’ tennis.
